S1 TURBOSDR Handheld XRF Spectrometer
The S1 TURBOSDR uses X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) for a quick and completely non-destructive method of restricted materials testing for applications such as lead free manufacturing, RoHS compliance and the detection of heavy metals in toys (ASTM F-963) and consumer products (CPSIA). The S1 TURBOSDR provides rapid and accurate analysis on materials such as lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), chrome (Cr), cadmium (Cd), and bromine (Br) at part per million levels.
The key to the success of the new S1 TURBOSDR portable XRF analyzer is Bruker’s XFlash® Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) technology, which offers count rates and resolution far superior to alternative SiPIN detector technology. The large solid angle and the high count rate capability of the industry-leading XFlash® SDD allows the user to take full advantage of the fluorescent radiation emitted from the sample, resulting in very short measurement times.
The benefits at a glance
- The first ever SDD-based handheld analyzer
- Superior count rates and resolution (compared to previous generation SiPin instruments)
- PPM detection limits
- Rapid and accurate analysis on materials such as lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), chrome (Cr), cadmium (Cd), and bromine (Br) at part per million levels
Clarity and usability
We believe the best technology should be intuitive and instinctive to use. Every element of the S1 TURBOSDR has been designed with this in mind. The bright display makes it easy to read in any lighting conditions. The touch screen means you can operate the whole machine with one finger, whether inputting a password or pulling the trigger. The operating system is Microsoft Windows® – so well known that it’s almost universal. Data transfer options include Microsoft ActivSync® via USB cable or wireless Bluetooth connection, as well as using an SD card. Built-in memory also makes it possible to store thousands of spectra and millions of results safely.
