Reciprocal Space Investigation Tools
The APEX2 suite offers a number of tools for a detailed analysis, using a set of diffraction images to reconstruct the reciprocal space. These powerful tools are built for tackling the most challenging samples (modulated, twinned samples, intergrown crystals, texture, … or whatever is waiting in reciprocal space) and are extraordinarily efficient teaching tools.
Reciprocal Lattice Viewer
The Reciprocal lattice viewer is an interactive tool to visualize and align complex reflection patterns.
- Routines for graphical unit cell determination and layer display
- Display and interactively modify a reflection array
- Remove artifacts from strong amorphous scatterers

Pseudo Precession Photograph
The Pseudo precession photograph tool provides an undistorted view of layers in the reciprocal space.

Diffraction Space Viewer
The concept of the Pseudo precession photograph tool is expanded to the three dimensional space.
- Display the complete reciprocal space as a volume
- Investigate textured samples, fibers and non-Bragg diffraction
- Free rotation of the 3-D space including zoom, and display of slices
