Liquids and amorphous samples – Characterization of Nano-structures with Pair Distribution Functions
Characterization of short- and medium-range atomic arrangements can be obtained by high-energy X-ray powder Diffraction. Data measured with Ag- or Mo-anode sealed X-ray tubes are transformed into Pair Distribution Function.
The PDF method can be applied to amorphous (even liquid) as well as crystalline material. Fields of application include pharma, cement, polymers, slags, glass, minerals processing, catalysts, semiconductors, nano-particles and many more.
