ELASTIX
ELASTIX is a unique calculator software module to precisely determine the X-ray elastic constants (XEC) from single crystal literature data stored in an extendable data base. The XEC’s are essential to convert measured strains into stresses.
ELASTIX calculates the XEC for every possible crystal structure based on the models of
- Reuss
- Voigt
- Hill (arithmetic mean of Reuss and Voigt)
- Zheng (geometric mean of Reuss and Voigt)
- Kröner and
- Constraint Voigt (CV)
ELASTIX is typically used in combination with either STRESS or GADDS.
