TEXTURE is a software package for measurement and evaluation of pole figures.

  • Control of the angles Theta, 2Theta, Chi, and Phi
  • Control of the X-, Y-, and Z-translations
  • Measurement in reflection according to Schulz and in transmission according to Decker, Asp, and Harker (depending on the hardware available)
  • Step scan or continuous scan
  • Background and absorption corrections
  • Evaluation with or without correction by a non-textured sample (defocussing correction)
  • Graphical presentation of pole figures in 2D and in 3D
