Data collection strategy planning
Data acquisition with 2D detectors requires sophisticated procedures to ensure accurate determination of diffraction intensities as well as unit cells.
During data collection goniometer movements have to be precisely ramped to the starting position and efficiently synchronized with the experiment shutter as well as detector readout.
Perfect Data Acquisition
Bruker – the pioneer of 2D detectors – has perfected data acquisition and first introduced multi-threading and interleaved protocols. Interleaving refers to starting one task while another is still processed, like repositioning the goniometer while the detector is still reading out. This results in fast and efficient data collection. Just specify multiplicity and the time you want your experiment finished and the strategy planner will make sure that you get complete data with maximum efficiency.
Our software supports various goniometer geometries and automated data collection planning ensures complete and redundant data coverage.
