Bruker's CETR-UMT-V single platform, multiple configuration, fully-computerized, unique acclaimed modular design can perform many common tribological tests on all scales (nano, micro and macro) under vacuum. Pin on disk, disk on disk, ball on disk, plate on plate, reciprocating , uni-directional and multi-directional wear, are some of the typical test setups.

Four Types of Drive Modules
- Lower linear fast reciprocation with upper linear motion
- Lower high-precision linear with upper linear motion
- Lower rotation (vertical axis) with upper linear or rotary motion
- Lower rotation (horizontal axis) with upper linear or rotary motion
- All motion modules are easily swapped in minutes
Technical Highlights
- Perform an automated synchronized control of several specimen motions with linear speeds from 0.1 micron/s to 30 m/s and angular speeds ranging from 0.001 to 7,000 rpm
- Load from µN to 1200N
- All motions independently programmable (for custom wear tracks)
- Automatic coefficient of friction vs load/velocity curves generated (tribological finger print)
- Can also be pressurized with inert gas
- Monitors and records in situ acoustic emission, electrical data, friction, wear, down force, temperature, humidity, etc.
- ISO, ASTM and DIN compliant
