Bruker's CETR-UMT-V single platform, multiple configuration, fully-computerized, unique acclaimed modular design can perform many common tribological tests on all scales (nano, micro and macro) under vacuum. Four Types of Drive Modules

  • Lower linear fast reciprocation with upper linear motion
  • Lower high-precision linear with upper linear motion
  • Lower rotation (vertical axis) with upper linear or rotary motion
  • Lower rotation (horizontal axis) with upper linear or rotary motion
  • All motion modules are easily swapped in minutes

Technical Highlights

  • Perform an automated synchronized control of several specimen motions with linear speeds from 0.1 micron/s to 30 m/s and angular speeds ranging from 0.001 to 7,000 rpm
  • Load from µN to 1200N
  • All motions independently programmable (for custom wear tracks)
  • Automatic coefficient of friction vs load/velocity curves generated (tribological finger print)
  • Can also be pressurized with inert gas
  • Monitors and records in situ acoustic emission, electrical data, friction, wear, down force, temperature, humidity, etc.
  • ISO, ASTM and DIN compliant
